Description: This large beautifully veined shallow dish has thin convex sides that curve in slightly at the rim. The internal rim is wide and sharply beveled. The exterior base is small and flat, while the interior base is rounded. The dish is finely polished. This dish represents a very common broad class of similarly shaped wares that appear as early as the 1st Dynasty, and well established by the 2nd Dynasty.

Condition: The dish is in fine condition overall. It was professionally restored from seven fragments using an epoxy. The dish is complete.
